I got fit, and so can you!
Many years ago, I was a 40 cigarette a day smoker, overweight, pursuing a career in the shipping industry and not very healthy. If someone had told me then that one day I would be a personal trainer and health coach, I would have laughed, and my friends and family would have had a good giggle too!
Well, I stopped smoking, started exercising regularly and have never looked back. I am stronger and fitter today in my midlife, than I have ever been.
As a personal trainer, I have always understood that everyone is unique and needed an individualised training programme. My programmes are tailored around the individual, always taking into account preferences, goals and abilities.
However, like many other health professionals, when it came to nutrition, sleep and other areas of wellness, I was giving out pretty solid, but standard, health advice.
Fortunately, the health industry is changing. We now know that what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another, because not only are there vast differences from one individual to another, even the same person will have differing needs (and goals) that change over a life time.

Personalised Health is revolutionising the way we manage health and wellness. With the advancement in science and technology, we can now use genetics and epigenetics (externally influences that can switch your genes on or off) to deliver a health plan that suits your body and mind.
